Davis Station |
During our 5-month stay in Antarctica, we visited a number of permanent bases of different countries- Australian, Chinese and Russian stations. They all have amazing stations there. The Australian station Davis at Princess Elizabeth Land is really wonderful.

Store room at Davis Station |
Things are really well-organized there (Davis). It is a very old station opened in 1957 but everything is refurnished now. One notable thing was their store room (shown on right). All the decks in the room are remote-controlled. You press a button it moves forth, you press another button it moves back. What a technology! The station houses one of the finest scientific laboratories in Antarctica and various scientific studies are going on.

Zhongshan Station |
Another station that we visited was the Chinese Zhongshan station. It was built in 1989 as the Chinese second station after the Changcheng station. It is also a beautiful station with many Polar scientists and staffs working all round the year.

Progress Station |
We also visited the Russian stations Progress (Larsemann Hills) and the Novolazarevskaya at Schirmacher Oasis (Queen Maud Land).
